Growing up as a skinny, under confident kid, Abhishek struggled with self-esteem and dreamed of transforming himself into someone stronger, both mentally and physically. Just like any other kid, he also dreamt of having a physique like Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham, but his journey to achieving a chiselled, competition-ready physique wasn’t a cakewalk.
“I was the guy who always admired Bollywood stars like Vidyut Jamwal, John Abraham, and Hrithik Roshan,” Abhishek recalls. “They had this aura of strength and confidence that I wanted for myself. Back then, I felt weak and unsure of myself. That’s when I decided it was time to make a change.”
From bulking up with a solid muscle gain plan to shedding fat to achieve competition-level conditioning, Abhishek’s journey wasn’t just about building a physique—it was about discovering his potential and pushing through mental and physical limits. The Skinny Kid Who Dreamed Big

Abhishek’s fitness journey began during his first year of college. “I was tired of being the skinny guy,” he shares. “I wanted to be someone who felt strong and confident in his own skin. That’s when I decided to focus on gaining weight and muscle.”
Over the next two years, Abhishek followed a structured bulking plan, gaining 30 kgs and building a foundation of strength and muscle mass. “The bulking phase wasn’t just about eating more; it was about eating right and pushing myself in the gym every day,” he explains.
But his journey didn’t end there. Once he was satisfied with his muscle growth, Abhishek started focusing on his shedding phase—a critical step in preparing for the ICN Natural Bodybuilding Competition.

Two Phases, One GoalAbhishek’s transformation can be broken down into two key phases:
- Bulking Phase (2 years): “This was where I focused on gaining size and strength. I worked hard in the gym and fueled my body with the right nutrients to build muscle,” he says.
- Shredding Phase (100 days): Under the guidance of his coach, Bala Sir from Fittr, and his team, Abhishek transformed his physique, dropping his body fat percentage from 13 per cent to an impressive 6 per cent. “I went from weighing 75 kg to 65 kg, all while maintaining muscle mass. It was intense, but the results were worth it.”

Challenges and Setbacks

Abhishek admits that his transformation wasn’t without its struggles. “The last four weeks of my shredding phase were brutal,” he says. “My calorie intake was down to just 1,200 a day, and I had to juggle strength training, cardio, and 10,000 daily steps. There were days when it felt almost impossible, but I kept going.”
Despite the discomfort, Abhishek used the challenges as motivation. “Those tough moments built my character. They taught me discipline and resilience. By the end of it, I felt like a warrior,” he shares.

Diet and Training Routine

When it comes to his transformation, Abhishek credits a combination of strict dieting and a consistent workout routine:
  • Diet Plan: “I started my diet at 2,800 calories and gradually reduced it to 1,200 calories in the final weeks before the competition,” he explains.
  • Training Routine: His training included six days of strength workouts with a focus on his delts, back, and triceps. He also incorporated 20 minutes of cardio daily and ensured he walked 10,000 steps each day.

Staying Motivated

What kept Abhishek going through the most challenging days? “The vision of myself on that bodybuilding stage,” he says. “That image of me with a shredded physique, representing my hard work and dedication, was all the motivation I needed.”

A Life-Changing Journey

For Abhishek, this transformation wasn’t just about aesthetics. “It completely changed my life,” he says. “I’m in the best shape of my life, and my confidence has skyrocketed. I feel more energetic, focused, and ready to take on any challenge that comes my way.”
Fitness has now become an integral part of his life. “This journey didn’t just transform my body—it shaped my mindset. I feel stronger and more determined than ever,” he adds.
